Lake Louise Evening Wedding

Busy day bombing around the mountains taking photos at Bow Lake, ceremony at Peyto Lake but it was in the evening when we came back to Lake Louise for dinner that we got the best light. What a great memory to take back to Virginia.

And yes that is a whip..........

One of the joys of my job is working with fun and whimsical clients...... I get to be creative and with the help of the wedding couple, we produce some funny, some romantic and always original images.

Winter wedding season is coming.........

Fresh snow on the mountain tops is a great reminder that the wedding season continues in Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise........ bundle up and wear warm boots. And hire a professional photographer.

Saying goodbye to the Miata.....

Bought the car in June of 2008 four days before my great old dog Keho died of cancer. Two months later this wild and crazy rescue poodle found me. Now 8 years later and 40,000 more km, the car has been sold. It was a blast; everyone who loves cars should own one. My brother Joshua bought one a week after I sold mine. Maverick adored car surfing at high speeds around sharp corners but at 15 in October, it is harder for him to sit up and wave to his adoring fans.  So one last spin up Mt Norquay and then it was gone.

So what's better than marrying the right person twenty years ago?  Renewing your vows surrounded by family and friends.  What a lovely couple. # kananaskis wedding

Engagement in a Magical Place

My client wanted a magical place to pop the question so I waited up at Grassi Lakes for the two of them to appear.  Captured some great moments and then we semi-posed a few by the lake. There has  always been something very special up there and I hope it will follow this couple for the rest of their lives.

What does a young lady like more than her puppy..... well maybe a pony but Mom and Dad said no.

Gwen and David wanted their boy Finn captured in all his glory...... what a sweet, lovely guy!  2 years old and such a character.
